Global Village

1. What does it mean when Marshall Mcluan said the “global village”?
2. What kind of images did you use to represent global village?
3. What tools did you use in Photoshop to create your collage?
4. What did you discover in creating this collage? Anything new?

What I believe Marshall Mcluan meant when he said global village is what many people use that involve them, as in using a home phone or cell phone to communicate across the globe along with the internet like msn or facebook.

The types of images that I used to portray global village were of the environment and technology.

The tools that I used in photo shop to create my collage were: magic wand, elliptical marquee tool, the opacity tool, and paint.

What I think I discovered while I did this assignment was that the global village as Marshall Mcluan would say Is growing as a whole and is open to anyone anywhere at anytime and I also think I learned that the global village isn’t all as good as we may see it to be because it can cause problems globally as I show in my collage.
